Segue abaixo a ultima informação recebida:

THE PELLAND MARK IV STEAM ENGINE is a three cylinder (1 high pressure 2 low pressure) parellel, double acting, two stage compound with poppet valves for both inlet and exhaust. It can use superheated steam at any pressure between 100 and 1,200 pounds per square inch. At the higher pressure, maximun revs of 1,800 rpm will be approximatley 120 h.p.
CYLINDER BLOCK is a one peice casting of spherical graphite cast-iron, machined to give cylinder dimensions of 72mm bore (HP) and 90mm (L.P.) with a common stroke of 74mm. Cylindrical crosshead guides are machined into the block. Top and bottom cylinder heads with adjustable packing glands are fitted.
INLET AND EXHAUST VALVE BODIES are bolted to the block to line up with the inlet and exhaust ports. The valves are Stellite faced and seat on stainless steel inserts that are shrunk into seperate cast bodies. Tappet clearance is adjustable on the followers (bottom valves) and on the push rods (top valves)
PISTONS AND PISTON RODS are machined from stainless steel, threaded and locked into aluminium alloy crossheads that transmit motion to the crankshaft via gudgeon pins and forged connecting rods, fitted crowed needle rollers.
CRANKSHAFT is a balanced machined alloy steel casting with nitrided journals. The throws are at 120 degrees to give smoothness of torque and excellent balance of both primary and secondary forces. Involute splines are provided for power take-off and the camshaft driving pinion is keyed to the front.

CAMSHAFTS are sperate for inlet and exhaust. Each shaft of fully nitrided alloy steel runs in four needle roller bearings. They are movable axially in unison, by the driver's hand control lever to give a range of cutoffs that provide expansion ratios as high as 1:11 in the normal direction of rotation. Additionally, reverse rotation cams can be brought into operation. Between reverse and forward modes, the valves remain closed to allow shut down independently of the throttle actuation. the cam contours on the far side of reverse allow all valves to remain open at all crank angles, to aid preheat of the cylinders when starting from 'all cold'.
CRANKCASE comprises two machined high strength aluminium alloy castings secured together along the crankshaft centre line by dowels and studs. Four main ball bearings are fitted, together with camshaft bearings, am followers, rocker spindles, rockers, camshaft control mechanism and camshaft drive train intermediate gear. Casing covers are bolted to each end. A drain plug is fitted to the base and a vent to the top.
LUBRICATION is by oil splash from the crankcase. Steam swept surfaces receive colloidal graphite lubrication, but no oil.
WATER PUMP (22mm bore x 30mm stroke) is bolted to the front casing cover. The double-acting piston of stainless steel, with fitted '0' ring, reciprocates within a bronze body, with two delivery ball valves. Drive is by an eccentric and connecting rod driven from the cam drive intermediate gear.
PROPORTIONING VALVE of Doble pattern is fitted to the inlet mainifolding to ensure self starting of the engine at all crankshaft angles.
EXHAUST MANIFOLDING from the four exhaust ports on the low pressure cylinders is fabricated from stainless steel tubing converging to 1 and 1/4 inch diameter tube to accept suitable flexible steam hose for connection to a feedwater heater/condensor.
PRICE Assembled, crated and Delivered free-on-board Tasmainia port is $22,000 US (This price is current for the year 2000).
DELIVERY: Approximatley 4 months from date of order.
